Emotional intelligence, as defined in the dictionary, is the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically. Studies indicate that it should be treated seriously when used in the workplace.

We will examine the distinction between Emotional Intelligence and Intelligence Quotient in this course. The four domains of emotional intelligence will also be covered.
